６年前、ｘｘ才で初めて運転免許をとった私ですが、今日は２回目の書き換えでなんとゴールド免許にまりました。

講習会はたったの３０分で済み、手続きがはやいことはやいこと！このためだけでも安全運転はお勧めです。

唯一 残念なのは免許写真です。美容院に行って、カラーをしっかりやって、お気に入りの花柄ブラウスも着ていきましたけど、肝心な一瞬間に顎をひくことを忘れてしまいました。この写真は嫌でもこれから５年間の長い付き合いです。

それでもうれしい！今日は思う存分うれしい気持ちを楽しみます。

明日はまた落ち着いた運転ができますように。

The best part of translation is learning something new and being paid for it!

Recently, I got a job from “Performing Arts Network Japan” run by the Institute for the Arts. I translated an article about the Ford Foundation and a interview with playwright Shiro Maeda. Ms. Ogawa did a synopsis of the play, “That Samurai at Night” by Masaaki Akahori. I thoroughly enjoyed my foray into the world of Japanese performing arts, and I’m hoping to hear from this group again!

It has been a while since I posted. I have been busy translating a new book and trying to catch up with a “lost” month spent in California. Meanwhile, the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Manna Frances went out to our neighborhood “pocket park” for a look at the enormous tree there. Enjoy this photo and even more posted on her blog.
